"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he today that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother." (Henry V - W. Shakespeare)

Tohoku Aid - Golden Week 2011

Since the earthquake, our church has sent on a regular basis supplies and volunteers to Sendai. Though I was feeling a strong desire to be there, I couldn't because of my work schedule. It was so frustrating. On this golden week, finally this chance came. Me and my wife joined with our church friends to BeOne Tohoku Aid Team. We went to Miyagi-ken, Ishinomaki-shi to work there as volunteers for 4 days.

These days we could experience complicated emotions as the despair and desolation of destruction, the joy of helping someone and the happiness inside of a simple smile.

Since I came back to Kobe, I can't think in anything else than go back there again. There are still so much to do.

We, from the regions non affected by the earthquake/tsunami, can't forget those who are suffering now. The path to rebuild a new Japan is only at the beginning.
