犠牲と愛「SACRIFICE AND LOVE]。

VAMOS DEUÇÃO!

Stellamigo Iwate Hanamaki 1x1 Deução Kobe

Sorry for taking long. But after all that pressure, I was really in need of some rest and peace. Since January 16th, every week we faced each game as the challenge of our lives. It was a matter of death or life. And finally we can say "We did it!"
But let's do a little talk about the game.

It wasn't a brilliant day for our team. Actually, we played really bad and sometimes by a lucky fate we scaped from the worst. In the second half, Passhan scored for us and when all seemed to be calm, Betinho received the red card. We were doing good defendind with fewer players but in a deflected shoot they scored.

The tension was high, but we stood strong until the end and held this important result. Many of our players were upset with it. I mean, the problem was not the opponent, but ourselves. We didn't play good. We know it could be better.

Hanamaki players were brave and played an entire season fighting against many things. They have my respect and admiration. Their supporters didn't stop to chant and cry for their team. At the end, Diogo made his final and emotional speech. Most of the players and the supporters were crying. That is the true spirit of the japanese futsal. Sacrifice and love.

We did it. It was the best result ever for Deução Kobe and we hope to keep writing the history in Zen-Nihon. But to finish in the second place in such conditions had a special meaning. Of course ending the season with a draw is not what everybody was waiting for. But this game wasn't the league. It was just one more step, a small one, but that made all the difference.

I mean, every single point, each goal, each save of both goalkeepers, the sliding saves under the goal, each assistance, blocks, advices, each little small thing made all the difference to put us on this place. So I can see clearly all the efforts of each member of the team in this victory. There is no hero. We ALL made it.

So I refuse to taste the last draw as the image of our league. After the game versus Hokkaido nobody would believe us to do it. But somehow we did. So it's time to celebrate and rest... but not for so long. In two weeks the new challenge begins. And we will put our hearts on it.

Thank you all for the support and I ask you one more time to stay with us until the very end. Until this season end, I wanna live each second tasting the joy to be beside you. VAMOS DEUÇÃO!

White Hanamaki

Together until the end!

We are already in Hanamaki for the last game of the league. It is not snowing now, but you can see snow everywhere. Only one more step. Let's stay together until the end!

Goalkeepers

TOGETHER we are ALWAYS stronger.

Goalkeepers

Goalkeeper is the hardest position in futsal. I could talk hours and hours about it. As goalkeepers we are our teams last stand. Our mistakes are unforgiveble. The mental stress is so high. You can't permit yourself to lose focus even for a second. Don't expect to be understood. You will never be.

But recently something else is bothering me more than ever. One of the most difficulties we have is the fact of just ONE of us can play. More than stamina you need focus and rhythm to play, that is why you can't change the goalkeeper during a game except in case of something extraordinary like an injury happen. Just one of us can play. And sometimes, it is lonely to be waiting outside.

When I was out, the time waiting to play was struggling me. My feelings were confusing. I asked myself a lot of questions. And when the time to play finally came, I start to ask myself another one: "How is he feeling about it?"

That's why, in the game versus Machida, when I finished my warm up, Toshi came in to direction and asked me if I wanna do something else. Then, I finally said what I wanted:

"Nothing to do. Just to say. I've seen all the hard work you did to be here. You did well many times until now and I want to recognize you as a great goalkeeper you are, by playing not just for me, but to honor all we have done. Our position is not easy. But as a team, I will make then realize we are not doing it as individuals. We will defend this goal together."

It is not easy to be a goalkeeper. You who had supported me during this time, I want all of you to know that Deução Kobe has great goalkeepers. If I can't play, Toshi can do the task. We will be watching each others back.
TOGETHER we are ALWAYS stronger.

FUTSAL POINT

Futsal Clinic at Futsal Point Koshigaya

What an awesome day! After the game versus Fuchuu Athletic, I ran directly to Futsal Point Koshigaya to do my very first clinic in Kanto area. I've always heard that it has been where futsal is most popular and developed in Japan. So even when the F-League game had already finished, I was still nervous. Could I please such selected players? Could I express myself good enough in japanese? The day's battle wasn't over yet.

But all this doubts and worries were gone when we started to play together. I mean, the fun and joy of sport and friendship have no barriers. We all can undestand the delight of a good play as the beauty of a smile. That night, just to be able to express my feelings through sport, it made me truly happy.

Thank you all for the pleasant night we had together. It was really fun. And as Mr. Nami said, I hope we can repeat it as much as we can.

I would like to thank Jonas and Nami for their help and trust. Nami encouraged me and with genuine trust he said the mantra of that night: "For sure it will be good!"

And I cannot forget my dear friend and former team mate Kato. It is because of him that we could share such incredible time together. I cannot pay what you did for me. You will be my friend forever. Thank you.

Always Together!

Fuchuu Athletic 1x3 Deução Kobe

Another tense game, full of emotions. I felt the team a little bit anxious and committing unusual mistakes, but fortunately we had strenght enough to reverse the score one more time. I could make a special mention of my little brother. Even after losing the penalty kick, he kept fighting until the end and made another hat trick.

In the end, another epic victory and we finally could dance the "Shouri Dance" ("Victory Dance") for the 5th consecutive time.

It was special to hear aplauses from the Fuchuu's supporters. It really means a lot to me. When we put our hearts, no matter who you are, where are you from or wich language you speak, we can connect and comunicate with each other and find humanity.

I would like to thank all the supporters who were there. How brave you were. Even without the drums, you made everybody hear the beat and cry of your hearts.
I can't forget either all those even from so far away sent positive thinkings and prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Like I said before, if we don't stay focus until the end, all these efforts will be in vain. So, I counting on you. Let's keep fighting together until the end! Always Together!

We did it!

Always... ALWAYS TOGETHER!

Today's victory was a great step toward to the concquer of the second place.
Of course, we have to stay focus, because if we lose the next game it all turns to nothing.
But now, it is time to celebrate and enjoy this important victory.
I will talk more about all of this in the next F-League Report.
While you waiting for it, I will leave this picture...
Always... ALWAYS TOGETHER!

Thank you, Pedro.

My last season's coach and great friend Pedro Henriques will not stay in Nagoya Oceans. It is a great loss for Nagoya and, until this moment, for the japanese futsal to.

To develop futsal in a good way we were suppoused to invite more coaches like him and not lose then. It was the same thing when Luis Fernando left us to go to Qatar.

I hope someway, somehow Pedro Henriques still can stay in Japan and keep helping us to build the future of the japanese futsal.

This is his resignation announcement from his blog. Only english version available.

Pedro Henriques announces departure from Nagoya Oceans.

«Pedro Henriques, champion coach Ken-League and Japanese League Satellite 2010/2011, decided against renewing for another 2 year contract proposal by the club Nagoya Oceans and indicates he will seek a «new challenge», staying at the club until the end of March After several weeks of negotiations, coach and club have not reached agreement and the coach will even out.

Despite the insistence of the club, we have not reached agreement. I'm sorry, because I like the club, like the city, I think we could develop further next season, but it would be impossible to work without a translator. »

Always Together!

PS. (^_^)

F-League Report: Deução Kobe 5x2 Shriker Osaka

Hello guys! Here I am again trying to put in words all the emotions we lived.

The Kansai Derby is always special. Osaka Shriker has a strong defense with the best goalkeeper of the league: Igor. For sure it would be a hard game to be played with patience and focus, just what we didn't have in the first half.

We made a lot of mistakes. Our defense was a complete mess and our atack wasn't reaching the timing. So, we went to the locker room losing by 0-2 confused and lost. A lot was said inside there, even with different thoughts, everyone returned with one thing in mind: we have to win.

And with different attitude, determination and focus we changed our fate and won the game by 5x2. Himeji seems to be a place to epic victories.

With this game we finished our home games. I would like to thank each one of you who supported us during this journey. We shared a lot of emotions in the home games and you all made it special. But the league is not over yet, so wherever you are, please, don't stop supporting us. Your voices will reach us for sure and make us stronger to this final two games. We are counting on you! Always Together!

PS. Keiko! Thank you for the Sanuki Udon!!! (^_^)

Just to Finish The Race

Sad news. Sugiyama broke his hand's finger during a practice. He is another loss for this season's end.

Thinking about him, Suzumura and Yamatsuta, reminds me my own situation one year ago, when I was going to have a surgery in my right shoulder. Then, I heard this story.

Barcelona 92, Dereck Redmond.

He was one of the favourites to win the 400m sprint. The gold medal was his dream and to pass through the semi-finals was just one more step toward to it.
The start was good, the finish line was just ahead. But suddenly a tragedy took place. He tore his hamstring and fell in great pain.

I can't imagine what it meant to him to see his dream vanishing away before his eyes that way. Olympic Athletes dedicate an entire life just for this moment.

But there was something else. After a few moments, he got up and tried to finish the race. For him, it was the only thing he could do. People tried to stop him, but he didn't. Jumping in one leg, through a lot of pain, he was trying with all his strength to go as futher as he could. Then, a big man came down from the stand and started to run towards him. He was Derek's father, Jim. Hugging his son he said:

- You don't have to do this son.
- Yes I do.
- Well, then we are going to finish this together.

And they crossed the finish line.

The matter is not to win or lose. Sometimes, to go as further as you can is the most important thing. To walk the path you chose. I hope to have the same courage he showed until his last lap.
